I am curious to know where in Glasgow the scenes were filmed? Some said Cardonald, is this true?

it was filmed at lourdes secondary cardonald...some scenes in drumoyne aswell

When John makes a run for it and at the end with the 2 knives is in Mountblow, Dalmuir at the reccie

The bit with the bridge?

That bridge and either side looks a hell of a lot like the grassy bit next to Rosshall Secondary.

Would make sense if they were filming just up the road at Lourdes, too.

Amazing about Drumoyne. I grew up near there but didn't recognize scenes in the movie.

The training field scene looked like the remains of the old football ground at Cathkin Park in Crosshill. Can't be sure tho.

I'd have to watch again. Maybe some scenes are in Govan, which is close to Drumoyne but less pleasant.

The church and long avenue are at Our Lady Of Lourdes church in Cardonald, as is the Jesus crucifix.

The summer scene is Cathkin Park home to Third Lanark football team

Some of them reminded me of a scheme in Falkirk, which is not strictly speaking part of Glasgow. Maybe...

Some of it was filmed in a residential street of Paisley - and Dykebar hospital in Paisley I believe.
