Same with any other US movies about the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. Back to the Future, Mischief, Rebel Without a Cause.......

In all honesty, if The Outsiders didn't have the cast that it had - nobody would care much for it. It wasn't a good movie. The book on the other hand...

youre right. anyway you cant compare the two, its like comparing fight club to hooligans. stupid choice of movie to use. warriors may have been a better choice but still, this movie is amazing. OP why try to compare and put it down instead of saying this is a good movie?
