Rappers + Film= CRAP

Why do people bother watching movies with rappers, wrestlers, pop singers and reality TV losers. WHY?
I mean seriously, when has anyone ever seen a film with one of the aforementioned, that was any good? Those movies usually turn out to be box office disasters, not to mention terribly acted. Whenever i see any artist like the ones i mentioned before listed in the cast of any movie, i avoid them as if they were jehovas witnesses. Please Hollywood if you are make a movie at least use real actors not just some celebrity who thinks they can.

I think you're confused, this movie (Gun) wasn't a big budget Hollywood theatre release film- Hollywood didn't have anything to do with it. It was from 50 cent's production company. I really dont care about when some rappers act in non-big budget hollywood theatred films, its there films and if they want to act then go ahead. They have tons of fans and many of them dont always care about the artists acting. Also if you dont like him then dont watch his films- its that simple

Besides, not all rapper-turn actors are bad actors. Some good ones: Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, Mos Def, LL Cool J, Ice Cube

there have been exceptions though. tupac did make some pretty good films in his lifetime, especially gridlock'd which I consider one of the most overlooked 90's crime-comedy films, and 8 mile really isn't bad either.

This movie was crap because the movie was crap. Not because of 50.

Even though his acting was somewhat mediocre all the way upto the ending, when he actually acted a lot better.

Yeah that makes sense Narcost23. It seems like the OP didn't even watch the film, just judging the film based on 50 cent starring in it, or his hatred towards rappers acting

I can see your point OP but there have been some good actors out of the list you made. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a really good actor and seems to get better after every movie. John Cena, Shawn Austin, Battista are all terrible actors and only get worse. 50 Cent is a terrible actor but he's slowly getting better...not fast enough tho. I always see movies that attract such stars as trying to add some star fire to an otherwise crappy movie. As I watched this movie tho I thought Don Cheadle would have been a better choice if someone bought the rites and casted it...

Tupac, Ice T, Ice Cube, Will Smith, Mos Def and many others are all rappers who starred in good solid and even classic movies and became solid actors.
