I didn't like this, unfortunately (spoilers)

I really enjoyed the first film, but I was shocked to learn that 'Zombieland: Double Tap' spent 10 years in "development hell" because the film still felt rushed.

The opening scenes were weak, there were superfluous plot points (the "Hawking" and "Homer" zombies were only used once or twice, and they never used the "ninja"), poorly depicted passage of time (most of the characters hadn't matured), only half of the jokes landed, and Emma Stone simply grimaced her way through her role.

The only positive aspect of this film was Zoey Deutch - she was brilliant as Madison, even though she was playing a cliched blonde bimbo character.

I actually would have preferred it if 'Zombieland: Double Tap' had ended with Tallahassee, Nevada, Madison and Berkeley becoming the series' new central family unit. The dynamic between those characters was much more fun than the old characters.

I enjoyed the movie but 100% agree with all of your points. You don't think Tallahassee would be a third wheel at that point though (referring to your last point)?

For a sequel and being ten years later it was still funny.
Some slower moments then the first but also some funny ones.

Tallahassee is paired up with Nevada now, so there is still room for growth with his character. I think it would be fun to see the two most capable survivors playing the role of pseudo-parents and mentors to Madison and Berkeley.

From the looks of it, Madison and Berkley are through.
