It did its job

I feel like this sequel really did its job in being an entertaining film.

Granted, it didn't move anything in any really new directions. But it was enjoyable.

I wasn't asking for much, and I was pleasantly surprised.

If you guys wanted something more, you can always articulate that artistically.

It was okay. I had hoped it would be more than just do the first movie again. To much Woody again.

And Emma Stone is really over the hill. A very superfluous sequel.

reply

She was put under to force a minority into the movie the first one didn't have.

reply

That's Rosario Dawson, who was beyond shrivelled here.

I suppose necessary to give Woody more humor and get older crowd to go see it. Have a Elvis thing added.

These are exactly my thoughts. I think my only complaint was that it was a little too self-aware. A lot of the cliches were worn to the ground. For instance: the survival tips.

I do feel like the filmmakers were sort of bound by the first one, they didn't want to go too out of the box and make people mad.

If you can leave your brain at the door of the theatre, and make sure it doesn't peak any time during the movie, then it's an okay popcorn comedy. If you can't then stay away (or wait for streaming).
