Yeah um that list you read is ok but if you want the best NZ film ever made check out "Bad Blood" the Stanley Graham story.
There is a few more I could mention but Bad Blood is a fantastic yarn and it was true!! It really did happen.

So you know my tastes my fav movie list is USUAL SUSPECTS, THE KINGDOM, SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, INGLOURUS BASTARDS to name just a few, please if you only see 1 more kiwi film let it be Bad Blood (its old but good)

IMO "In my Father's Den" (2004) is the best NZ movie to date. Other noteworthy films that spring to mind in addition to the two in your post are "Heavenly Creatures" (1994), "Smash Palace" (1981) and "Sleeping Dogs" (1977). Also the more recent films "Show of Hands" (2008) and "Piece of my Heart" (2009) are worth seeing.

Piece of My Heart and Show of Hands are TV movies. Good movies yes; especially Piece of My Heart, but mentioning them is probably a bit pointless unless they're going to be released on DVD. :-)
