This Isnae Glasgow

How refreshing to hear non Glaswegian in Scottish Comedy, Gary's War had me laughing out loud, with talk of "suicide radges" and "i'll kick *beep* oot ae um efter the futba". This series of 6 programmes is packed with subtle comedy moments and cracking one liners. If you dont "get it", then you dont "get it", simple as that. Gary's near-camp delivery as the corporal, played by the writer of the series Greg McHugh, Wummin daft Adam, played Paul Corrigan, by the book Charlie, often the butt of Gary's jokes, played by Scott Fletcher, and "Mr Huffy-Puff" Jacko, played to perfection by Robbie Jack, all complement each other perfectly.

Episode 1 Gary and the boys have a stint in the precint at the army recruitment stall, Jacko's sister get's herself recruited and the boys have to find a way to stop it before Jacko finds out

Episode 2 with the firemen on strike, the lads have to stand in as firemen, but end up on a "wild duck chase" and get ambushed by three wee lassies.

Episode 3, gary is tasked with looking after General Randy Badger, who's more interested in tracing his routes of the "Clan McBadger", and ends up on the town with the boys instead of going on a night hike

Episode 4, Gary and Jacko are sent to St Andrews University to take part in a debate on Iraq,m Gary finds out he's mistakenly put his dad's Macaroni Cheese recipes in his bage instead of his speech.

Episode 5, the guys are out in the field with the tank, they detour to collect a new cooker for Gary's dad, but end up at the wrong place.

Episode 6, it's gary's birthday and they're staggin on, Jacko and Charlie inadvertantly buy the same present, and Adam gifts him a goats hoof.
