Typical 'kid sees ghosts and yet parent doesn't listen'.

As a kid who used to live in a haunted house, I get really annoyed at these movies where one of the kids sees spirits and tries to tell the parent and the parent lovingly but patronizingly insists to the child that she's just got an overactive imagination. Even after the same kid demonstrates psychic abilities by letting her mom and sister know whenever the phone is about to ring. And even after the older daughter has strange "night terror" episode she's never had before. Even after the psychic lady she works with sits her down and lets her know that stuff is real and she still sees spirits and that her youngest is probably not imagining it. It's enough to make me want to grab that dumb-ass mother and shake the crap out of her.
