Bad Writing Plus Bad Chemistry Equals Crap

There are several things that add up to make a movie great or crappy.

The first crappy part is the writing. It was beyond bad especially the bickering scenes between the ex and the girl. Add in the stupid fighting between the two men and it got even worse.

The second crappy part is that I felt no chemistry between the actors. I didn't see any love between any of them but just a small friendship from being neighbors to each other.

I don't know who directed this but they should have gotten more from the main actors. It looked like they came to where ever, did the scene and then closed up shop without even checking what they had. If what we saw is the best they had, I would hate to see what ended up on the cutting room floor.

This movie had so many things wrong with it. The only actor who was on game was Frances Fisher and, even then, they did a poor job with her writing.

I've always compared making a movie to making a meal. The script is the ingredients and the actors are the chefs. Great chefs can make even crappy ingredients taste good and poor chefs can make good meals with great ingredients but there is no way a poor chef can make a good meal from crappy ingredients.

Small detail... But as a car enthusiast I had to laugh at the scene outside the bridal shop...

"I'm just looking for my keys..."

"There in the ignition"

"Oh yeah great"

Normal dialogue except for the fact she was driving a Cadillac XLR...The car has no keys... It's comes with push button start and a Fob. There's no Keyed ignition whatsoever.

The devil is in the details.

I thought it was terrible acting by the lady playing the bride. That part where she was mad at Evan and comparing him to a tree was incredibly awkward because of her acting.
