Fez was one of the best characters in the original show. His presence felt natural. The producers didn't shoehorn him in for the sake of it. Look at the scene set in The Hub in the trailer for That '90s Show. Five out of the seven characters (Ozzie, Gwen, Nikki and the two extras) in that shot seem to be ethnic. It's not realistic for a smallish town in Wisconsin in the 1990s. It's just pandering at this point.

It seems Bonnie and Terry Turner want to appease people who probably won't even watch the new show. Then again, this is a Netflix production. They treat a vapid bore like Meghan Markle like she's the second coming. At least the show gives people like you another opportunity to feel morally superior, eh?

This must be one of the most idiotic arguments I’ve ever seen. Netflix Korean shows have 100% Koreans. You will not see 50% black Koreans and 50% lgbt Koreans. So the argument that NF makes movies for a diverse audience is quite … moronic.
Turk movies? Same. 100% Turks. And so forth. Only “white” movies have the “require” diversity hires …

There was a comedy, The Trip, Norway, that was making fun of it, when they were making the movie of the story and the American version was with the mandatory black husband, as a mockery of the woke culture …

Honestly wish them luck because even with a strong cast, That 80's Show bombed.

Original was cut some slack because networks were shifting to reality TV and unwilling to try out new sitcoms. The Simpsons should have been put down decades ago, but networks held on to it because of this dynamic. Also explains Chuck Lorre's string of success. Or the ongoing mockumentary trend.

I'll give it shot for a couple episodes.

I have no problem with diversity but the young actors in this are just bad, they don't have the chemistry that the 70's show cast had. Too bad because I actually really liked all the cameos, but that's a problem when this show is supposed to be about the kids. After two episodes I am done with this show.

A black person isn't capable of doing blackface, you do understand what blackface is don't you? It isn't a black actor it is a white actor that blackens their face as in Al Jolson who pretty much set the standard for blackface long long ago.

Future generation will laugh at the diversity bullshit that destroyed movie studios that were too stupid to understand that they were in the business of making money and not making liberal idiots happy. It really doesn't matter if the majority of the US population is white, black, yellow, red or whatever color you choose... what matter is who makes up the majority of the people that go to movies, they are the ones that matter not the penniless liberals delivering pizza just to pay the rent. And given the poor performance of the movies catering to those pizza driving libtards, the vast majority of movie goers don't want woke shit.

Growing up just about every TV show I watched was black, about every CD I owned was black, I watched a whole lot of black movies so I'm not exactly sure where you Liberals get this idea that it was only white males on screen until like 5 years ago other that to assume you are just all a bunch of Nazi agitators.

The other little fact the black folks tend to ignore is that their percentage of the population is dropping and has been since it peaked around 1760... At the current rate of decline it won't be long until they are just a footnote in the "other" category. And irony is that it isn't the republicans that are pushing them to oblivion, it is the democrats... Open border increase the population and very few crossing the southern border are black, so that drops them... then their is the abortions which by and large result in more black babies being aborted than any other race... All these things brought to you by the democrats... Now if someone could explain how it is the most black vote democrat I would love to know.
