Aspect Ratio

It wasn't stretched at all. The top & bottom were cropped off so that the old broadcast footage would match the widescreen aspect ratio of the documentary. You really don't want two different aspect ratios when you plan on releasing a film theatrically. I guess the filmmakers could've left the old footage in its old 4:3 aspect ratio, but then you'd have black bars on the left & right of the screen, & not to mention, a much smaller image. Better to just fill in the whole frame, methinks.
