Suprisingly Good For An After Dark Film. 6 / 10

Just saw it and I have to admit I was pretty impressed. It's not anything AMAZING, but it's deffentially a above average A.D. movie. I really dug the potrayl of the vampires in it. Eventhough they were very similar to the one's in 30 Days Of Night I would say that's more of a good thing than a bad one. The vampires from that movie were pretty much how I always imagined them as cold blooded, merciless monsters and this movie deffentially got it right. The attack scenes were pretty damn intense and you gotta love all the jumping and climbing walls. If I had one complaint it's that the last 15 minutes was a bit too unrealistic considering what the movie was going for before. I guess it made sense in a way, but I still feel like the director went for a easy way out. Overall it was a good movie and far better than ANYTHING that had put out last year.

Thanks for the review. I'm getting it in the mail today, and I really can't wait to watch it. I'm in need of a good horror film from 2011.

All I can say to that is their other movies must be pretty goddamn terrible!
Do they always totally rip-off other far better horror movies whilst also completely missing out on all the things which made them good movies in the first place?

I hope your user name is not any reference to the movie Wrong Turn, because that movie is crap compared to most of the After Dark horror series. I liked this movie personally, and to some extent most of the others in the series. Not award winning by any stretch of the imagination, but more entertaining than a lot of what is coming out of the sewers these days.

I agree. It wasn't a horror masterpiece, but a lot better than people give it credit for. Very entertaining. :)
