was that they never called them vampires. To me, it seems like once you say it the movie doesn't feel as real. Plus, I think this is the only movie where they didn't call them vampires. So, that gave it an extra star when rating this (still a low rating though).

I feel very annoyed when they aren't called obviously what they are - Zombie, vampire, werewolf, etc. Makes it feel less real for me when they refrain from saying it, kind of forced.

But they were said to be bird-like. I got confused at first cuz I didn't know if they were zombies, vampires, or werewolves. But the fact that daylight doesn't affect them and they can apparently fly or jump real high sort of explains the bird-like thing more than vampires or zombies.
