Fracknation shows this propaganda to be false

Finally a real documentary has appeared to debunk the obvious propaganda in this film. Fracknation exposes the real agenda behind GasLand and shows that the main agents of GasLand, specifically Mr. Fox and his key interviewees from GasLand to be nothing more than liars. They threatened the director of GasLand and then, through FOIA, their bogus lies were exposed. Nothing was wrong with the water in their area.

The truth is there if you want to watch it. Watch Fracknation and be freed from this anti-energy propaganda.

So true.

I challenge all of the 7758 people who gave this piece of trash a 7.7 rating to watch "Gasland" and "Fracknation" back to back and not come to the conclusion that Josh Fox is a lying scumbag!

reply

I was going to try watching FrackNation after GasLand until I checked the film makers other movies: denying global warming, dismissing it as hysteria.

reply

Global warming IS B.S.

reply

Yes, it is hysteria.

It's dependent on people being young enough, or short memoried enough, to not have any grasp of how climate changes over time. And to not understand how SCIENCE works -- hint: if you have to change your terminology to match the FACTS ("Global Climate Change"), chances are, you're dealing in bovine excreta. In the 1970s, they were worried about Global Cooling. By the 1990s, they'd sufficiently dumbed down the populace that Global Warming got traction.

Here, watch this, from the lectures of noted and highly respected scientist Richard P Feynman discussing The Scientific Method.

Pay special attention to the part ca. 5 mins into it.

AGW is not "Science" -- it is outright quackery.

That is a really intelligent way to make decisions about the pursuit of truth (sarcasm). So what you do is first see if you agree with this person's position, then if you don't line up with them politically you'll ignore anything they might say. You'll only watch things that have the position you agree with.

That position states that you don't care if something is true or false, you only want to watch something that supports your position. You don't care if something is a lie or if it's false, as long as it says stuff you want to hear.

I thought the important thing was whether or not something is true or false. To me the crucial element is whether or not it is factual. There are some things I hear that upset me, but if they are true I find my peace with it. Because I would much rather be supporting something based on it's truthfulness, than putting my support behind lies and untruths simply because it's what I want to hear.

This is one step uglier than "ignorance is bliss". This is frankly "lies are bliss, as long as I agree with whatever lie they tell".

Very sad, and unfortunately this phenomena is becoming more and more prevalent in our world. And it is far, far worse than simply "lie to me, as long as they are lies I want to hear", because it goes beyond the subjective. People like you are supporting the spreading of lies, infecting many others with false and dangerous viewpoints and ideology, because it supports something you like. You won't even listen to dissenting information - even if it's true - that you don't like.

Are you going to teach this ideology to your kids? Would you teach them to never consider dissenting opinion if it's something they don't like? Would you teach them to never be objective; don't ever investigate alternate viewpoints if it comes from someone who has other opinions you disagree with? Would you teach them to be close-minded and believe in lies rather than listen to something they don't want to hear that may contain the truth?

Boy, if there ever was a place to quote scripture, this is it, because we are definitely living in an age where this is true. The book of Romans begins by addressing this, and if it had been written yesterday it couldn't be more relevant to us now...

"...people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness... their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools... they deliberately chose to believe lies....

They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy... they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

I wonder why Mr. Fox would not answer any questions about the water quality in Dimas. And before you claim special interest, know that the movie was funded through Kickstarter.

reply

Thanks for proving that Fox is correct, and that you are a paid hack. Because the "film" "Fracknation" is nothing but a big LIE paid for by the Right and the natural gas industry-

"It comes in the form of a documentary film titled, “FrackNation,” whose co-directors' funding in the past came from Donors Capital and Donors Trust, referred to by Mothers Jones' Andy Kroll as “the dark-money ATM of the right” and a major source of funding for climate change denial.

This isn't the first dip in the “doubt is our product” pond for McAleer and McElhinney. In the past, they co-directed and co-produced a pro-mining documentary titled “Mine Your Own

http://desmogblog.com/2013/06/03/exposed-fracknation-deploys-tobacco-playbook-response-gasland-2Business” and a climate change denial documentary titled, “Not Evil, Just Wrong.”

Also, they lied about where the money to make the film came from, and they lied while they were making it what it was about-

Thanks all you wingnuts and shills for LOSING so badly on this one. Anyone who touts "Fracknation" has zero credibility.
