tries too hard to be hip and cool

This must be the Canadian version of an attempt to be hip and cool. It's not working, and it gets old pretty quickly. The so called witty one liners are not inventive at all, and the characters are poorly written and not even remotely believable. I watched a few episodes and thought it was okay at first, but then it just got on my nerves because it's trying too hard to be edgy. You can definitely tell it's a typical Canadian production.
