Jerry Lee Lewis

Terrible choice for the opening act. I actually felt sorry for the poor old guy. I'm all for respecting our senior statesmen of Rock and Roll and respecting the trailblazers and all that, but this kind of lame sentimentality does no one any good.

Bad, bad idea.

Smokey Robinson was equally sad; as long as he lives he should NEVER subject listeners to another s l o w rendition of "Tracks of My Tears"--it was just cringe inducing throughout. I see he didn't waste any time exiting the stage when that "performance" was over--just sad, really.

Sorry, Nellie. Smokey Robinson brought the house down. That was probably the greatest performance of the night. Smokey RIPPED it.
As for Jerry Lee... Jerry Lee Lewis is among the greatest ever. You were lucky to see him. The Killer lives on.
