best sequel since Empire Strikes Back

I went to the premiere at T.I.F.F and the crowd was rowdy, drunk and stoned and laughing their asses off throughout. Saw it again on DVD and laughed so hard I thought I'd have a heart attack. This is a rare occasion where the sequel is better than the original and is on par with any cult stoner comedy on the market.Usually in Canadian films the extras bring the level of production down to 'Corner Gas' standards, but Tron and Trish and everyone else were awesome.
The Prairie Park Boys could easily have Ricky, Julien and Bubbles do a cameo and it would seem appropriate. Give'r again...totally worth it.

I must admit i do agree. I was worried when they were going to make a second film. But like you said better then the first

I have to agree also. It's on par or better than the first in many ways. I saw it in my local Galaxy on opening day and loved it. Just watched the dvd release and loved it just as much. But I have to be honest, there was a few minor things that kinda bothered me the second time around. I think the balance of comedy and drama was a little off in this one. I would have preferred a bit more comedy in the last act. That being said, I'm also not sure I was completely sold on how they dealt with the Tron character in this one. But that's alright. Also, I think the editing in the first act was too frantic at times.

When all is said and done, amazing sequel and it maintains the heart of the original while managing to be funnier. I'm down for a trilogy if they could pull it off some how.

GIVE'R AGAIN !

I disagree with your comment about Tron. In my opinion tron absolutely made the movie. He was the stereotypical "outwester", who completely changed from the first movie after his breakup, and new job as welder. He comes home a country loving hillbilly, with a massive truck, not giving a *beep* about society. Not only that, he promises jobs to Terry and Deaner, that cant necessarily provide, and when hes out there, being a welder with his own truck, he believes he is the absolute *beep* Being an east-coaster, i see people like this all the time. Cracks me up how much the Mac can change a person. "The Mac, she's a cruel mistress, and she will freeze you, if you don't love her, the way we all love her up here. We are the Mac... are you the Mac?"

I gotta agree. I think it was a lot better than the first one. I hadn't heard much about it, and wasn't expecting much. My girlfriend and I both loved it though, and this wasn't even really her type of movie.

Im not going to compare this with other sequels, but I really enjoyed this and I thought it was much improved from the first in many ways. Im glad they brought back alot of people if not everyone from the first movie as well.

I love both, the first was awesome, and i thought they would somehow dishonor it in the 2nd, but all it did was live it up to the 1st and then some. These characters totally deserve a 3rd movie, and i feel the story of these Canadian headbangers are far from over.

"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man." The Dude.

I never saw the first one but this one was very accurate as to how a lot of people live their lives in real life. I could relate to every aspect of this movie being someone who has grown up in the petrochemical industry. There has not been one thing that they showed onscreen that I haven't seen in real life. Usually the higher up you are...the more messed up you are around here. I have to try hard as hell to blend in. In a world where America means freedom...they mean freedom to do whatever...except for on the job site... you miss one notation on your paperwork and you're fired! When the sun sets...whatever! The biggest stickler's turn into the biggest freaks. That aside I was thrilled to see someone portray people accurately and portray the dynamics of it all. One of my favorites definately.
