Music is skipping on PS3 version....

I actually just rented this to try it out, and the disc looks pretty flawless. But when I play the game, at certain points the music/sound effects will skip, as if an old cd player got bumped. At one point the sound cut out completely for 5 mins. before returning. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this. I'm hoping it's the damn rental disc and not my PS3....
