When Mariana said that was she just being mean? like "yea u want to leave me but you never will."

i love this movie so much! its awesome. i love the character of mariana. she's so intesting. u have to wonder, did she ever love Anne lister, or was she just a player?

I think she did but the times were so different then that ofcourse anyone would be afraid of being open in those times! Anne was so needy and suffercating! but its sad their love story. :( But Marianna was mean a lot of the times. she made me question her love for Anne. ??

And when Marianna came back at the end, ugh killer ! :( did Marianna just want to keep up the affair or did she really want to stay with anne at the end? i understood that she just wanted to keep the affair going...
