Ah man, that ending

This was quite a movie. I've seen a lot of movies that are considered messed up like Serbian Movie, Martyrs, and many many others. But this was in its own way messed up, definitely felt more true to life than those other movies too. I liked how they made me hate Viktor when he simply slit a poor girl's throat basically to only make a point and where i started to slightly, ever so slightly root for him when it was him against the other men inside the building. It definitely seemed like he meant ''well'' with the Angel as well, especially when he handed her that key which later turned out to be fake.

At the end of the day there was very very little good in this guy, probably nothing. I absolutely was rooting like hell for the girl when she escaped into the woods and ended up in that house. Things seemed well until it was made clear in whom's house she was. I absolutely loved the part in the pipes where she turns around (yes...unrealistic how this went, but ah well) and puts blood on the eyelids and mouth, just like she put make up each time on the poor girls. This was her making a point, man at this point i sat up in bed and went...''ooooh hell yeah, you go girl!''.

It seems freedom is waiting for her when she exits the pipe and looks over the landscape. But she should not have went to that other house. I was so happy for her when she ran into the woman's arms but then it was shown that her husband peeking outside and closing the door was the doctor and that made me say out loud ''no man...*beep* this! Not like this, not like this!!!!!!''. I then started to wonder if the doctor could actually be.....ok, compared to the rest. Until i went to these forums and read about a earlier part in the movie where Viktor tells the doctor about payment, and then the doc replying about her broken pelvis. When i watched the movie i misunderstood this part, i thought it basically meant Viktor wanted the girl to keep ''working'' and the doc saying she can't with a broken pelvis. Now it's clear that the doc was a sickminded person too. Horrible ending, but definitely not impossible though. Even though her running in two 'evil' houses at once was a bit much.

Either way far from a happy ending and we are left with our own interpretation on what happens next. Will she outsmart the doc and escape and finally get somewhere truly safe?

The odds of her going to two houses connected to the bad guys was just too much of a stretch for me. Kinda killed it for me at least. If it was just the doc's house at the end I could buy it, but they pushed it too much at that point.

That would be smart though, have a brothel where everyone connected lived that close. The chances of escape would be crushed Bc all the homes nearby are in on it. Also I don't think this is like a big town.

I don't think the houses were close by since when she came out of the pipe she had energy then when she got to the last house she was falling down knackered like she had been running for ages. I didn't like how she conveniently ended up at the houses of who she did. It ruined it for me since it happens in a lot of films and doing it twice in one made it eye roll time.

Guaranteed if she went to a third house it would be the guy in the pipe's kids that answered the door.

I didn't get the feeling the doctor was ok with what Viktor was doing, especially when it came to the girl with broken pelvis. The doctor was telling Viktor he needed to take better care of the girls and that that the girl with the broken pelvis couldn't work in that condition, but Viktor quickly let him know who was boss and came off as threatening to the doctor. So when she ended up at his house, I got the sense he was glad she got away and would provide her with safe shelter. Just my opinion and perspective though.

But at the same time, we learn that the doctor takes his payment by raping the women, including the one with the broken pelvis.
