Love the fact there was no nudity

*English is not my primary language.

Don't get me wrong, I love to see my usual boobs and asses in sexploitation flicks, but actually, it was not the usual teen horror movie.

It brought the movie to a whole new level.

there was a huge bald guy flexing his butt muscles on top of the chick

Two men were shown like that, actually.

It was naked men, obviously he didn't noticed. xD

he obviously meant female nudity. he said english isn't his first language, but i think he was implying that it felt more respectful towards the women in the story to not show them naked.

reply

Still watching, but I just saw the first guy ass lol, but yeah, I think its more creative if you can make an audience think about something without actually showing it, in some cases.

I agree with his sentiment, I feel like showing the women nude would have been exploitative under these circumstances (I don't have a problem with nudity, it's just the characters were so terribly disempowered and abused). The male nudity served, in my opinion, to show their power and violence - just ripping their clothes off and going for it like beasts.

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

reply

lol, "respectful to women" he says. I guess you didnt see the scene where the smacked out pimp is puking on the girl that had her brains blown out. That was something to see. Plus bitch-slapping a prostitute and choking her out while she's getting raped doesnt mean she's being respected. The whole movie was exploitation, just missed out on the T and A.

reply

I have to agree! I'm sick of seeing cheesey slasher flicks that I hoped would be mature but is spoiled when they throw in random frontal nudity.

reply

I agree. I think it was done in respect and was a smart decision.

reply

I find it hard to believe that you started a topic that you were glad there wad no nudity. So, you are saying that violence is great but showing bear breasts is a bad thing?

I don't care one way or another. A couple of T&A shots is not going to make this movie any better or worse. I guess I just don't understand what the big deal

People see NC-17 content ever day in real life as far as graphic nudity goes.

reply

but showing bear breasts is a bad thing?

I see no reason why a bear shouln't have the right to show his breasts too ?

reply

Brilliant haha

Couldn't agree more.

Since they show even young women being killed while the very young girls are taken... i assume even tho some of the actresses would be over 18, that they are trying to put forth the even more sleazy idea that they are all very young/under age.. that was the impression i had, most of the girls could easily pass for 15-16. sick, but makes the revenge all more sweet.

Personally I prefer my sex slaves to be 15 or 16. Britany knows what I mean, I'm not a girl, not yet a woman...

Hey it's called humour people, obviously I don't have sex slaves. I'm just making a dark joke.

I took the lack of nudity not as a decision of the filmmakers to "be respectful" or for ratings reasons, but as an attempt to comment on the sort of sexual exploitation happening in the brothel. It didn't even matter to the clients that the girls' bodies weren't on full display.

We can't know what went on with each rape, but what we did see (scenes taking place during and right after encounters) suggests the men didn't care to remove the girls' clothes. Their titillation came from dominating the helpless, rather than from a naked woman's body. In a way, the sex comes across to me as almost perfunctory, traumatized men playing at being manly soldiers.
