Question about Chiles....

I have to admit that I like this movie more and more every time it comes on (and I enjoy a lot of the music, too). I was just wondering..... do you think Chiles became the famous country singer that she so aspired to be? Or did the whole suicide incident cause her to sort of fade out?

Kelly's note to Beau implied that love and fame can't coexist.... and it looked as though the love Chiles and Beau felt for one another brought them together in the end.....but she also gave Chiles that pep talk on the rules of being a star, sort of like she was passing the torch on to her.

Chiles walked into the bar (at the end) looking very natural and "non-famous", but that might not have meant anything. When Beau introduced her to the uncrowded room, people seemed to acknowledge her as though she may have been famous. Or maybe they were just clapping because Beau introduced her as a friend/great songwriter...... thoughts? Thanks!
