Eh. . . .the werewolf is hairless in this?

There is a photo being shown across the internet showing that the werewolf appears to be hairless. I seriously do not get why people seem to be making werewolves hairless these days, making them more like rats.

However, the pic does show that the werewolves ears are similar to the original werewolves from the 1981 Howling and there are supposed to be several types of werewolves in this film.

Yeah, I've seen it. Other than hair, where's its snout? I wonder if it's going to look like Ian's werewolf from Howling 6???

When they started using CGI werewolves in films and TV and usually made them hairless, I understood (but still hated it) because it was difficult and expensive for them to render all that hair early on. Things started looking up in the mid-to-late 2000s (the Hugh Jackman-wolf in Van Helsing is still one of my favorite-looking ones, properly wolfish looking with a snout, full body of hair, and hulking/musclebound/intimidating like they should look, IMO). They still don't often get the look very good in most film & TV. I haven't seen a costumed/make-up/guy-in-prosthetics wolf in a while (and I haven't seen this film yet), nor an animatronic werewolf, so I dunno how the industry is doing at bringing those to life nowadays.

The hairless/bare skin wolves almost always look lame & ugly, though.
