kinda sick of the reviewers on stephen king projects..

look, the bulk of the bad reviewers seem to have no concept that *NO STEPHEN KING ADAPTED MOVIE OR SHOW HAS BEEN (AND MOST LIKELY WILL BE) AS GOOD AS THE RELATED BOOK* On oand on I read the reviews and its nothing but whining about each and every show/movie that has been based on one of his literary works.. I have to ask myself, "Are this many people so illiterate that they do not know what "Based On" or "Adapted" means?" You *DO* realize that in all of his adaptions he is part of the project right? It isna as if he doesnt KNOW what changes are being made. it just kills me that there are so many people complaining. Listen personally speaking, i do not care for most of King's work, with the exception of The Dark Tower series and books similar that actually tie into it. But i have watched every show, seen every movie, and some have been real close but most havent. If you are going to watch these shows and movies hoping to experience what you did by reading the books associated then you are a complete fool. A good writer (which Stephen undoubtedly is) makes the reader draw on their own imagination to envision the story as it proceeds, making a movie is casting a SET vision, there is no way to duplicate what each individual has envisioned, there is no way to make it suit everyone perfectly, so the creation staff try and tell the story the best way they can.

Then you have these people complaining that it was too drawn out, that they had to watch more episodes than they wanted to in order to get to the end.. I for one LOVED The Stand, but if i were asked if i would have preferred seeing it more than 6hrs of film i would DEFINITELY say yes.. sure the job done was impeccable, but there is SO much story left out, they seemed to be more interested is banking on an all star cast then a few extra feet of film. My point is, IDK about the rest of you, but if it's a particularly good novel I spend weeks reading it, putting myself into the scene, not a few hours... If you cannot invest your time to soak in the whole work and are just watching the movie to save time, you really do not deserve to comment as far as i am concerned.

Finally, I just finished the first episode of season one, and i have been bingewatching them all the way through.. I wouldnt do this if I didnt find the show engrossing, so for those of you who hate the show so much or are so dissappointed, its in my opinion that you really cant follow any of the above concepts and should stop watching adaptions altogether.. save yourself the time "wasted" and spend it over on porn-hub or where else your limited minds take you.

Yes, but there is a HUGE difference between adaptation and what was done to "Under the Dome", which was literally bastardized for TV, ugh. This show was nothing, I repeat, NOTHING like the book it claimed to be based on. Do yourself a favor and read the book and then see if you still feel the way you felt when you posted the short story length rant on here. You're wecome.

Not true, I would say Stand By Me, The Green Mile and Shawshank are at least AS GOOD as the books it was based on, if not better.

The jury is still out on The Shining.

The main gripe with this show is that it changed all sorts of things for no reason and turned a well written book into a freak show.
