As long as the audiobooks still involve Karl, I am sure I will be happy with them. I will miss The Ricky Gervais Show and Idiot Abroad though.

i remember RG saying their would be no 3rd series of AIO.

They have hours up on hours of pre-recorded chats they can simply animate.
Most of this stuff was recorded years ago...and they are still making "new" episodes from it.
As Ricky says in that link (I guess the OP didn't actually read)"never say never."

As long as they get paid, they'll keep making them.
An Idiot Abroad though is a different matter.

If Jesus was a Jew, why does he has a Mexican first name?

One of the best formulas I have come to appreciate in Gervais' projects is brevity. Keep the seasons down to a minimum. After a point anything can get redundant.

I am fine with 3 solid seasons. There is always the audio books and podcasts hundreds of hours of material.

About Karl's "An Idiot Abroad". I heard they had problems shooting one episode in Africa. Karl had a hard time being there (emotionally or what?). Does anyone have any more info on this?

Still looking forward to Gervais' work on Derek.

I fully agree, like the U.S Office has just been dragging on forever now, UK version was great, short and sharp.
