I seem to remember the last episode suggest more episodes - Like, it didn't have a well-rounded tied-up ending.

No we wont get anymore episodes i am sorry to say, John Sullivan who wrote it died suddenly in 2011 & his family dont want anyone taking it over. So that is that as they say.
