ummm

It was absolutely awful.... I had seen the trailer for this movie and was immediately interested . It started out as a good movie but towards the end it became ridiculous with so many plot holes and unbelievable story lines by the end I was cracking up to how ridiculous this was... its not worth the time or what I expected.I really do not recommend this movie the only good thing that came from it was the sound track which is amazing....

I can understand, that you don't like the movie. I think the movie is very special and not everybody will like the movie. From my point of view, I think
the movie is very good and has also a great soundtrack.

This movie is garbage. Ecstacy is not habit forming nor is it addictive. The trailer is all a bunch of lies. That right there turned me off from even giving this movie a chance. Heroin? Maybe.. Ecstacy? Nope. Cocaine, Maybe... Ecstacy? No.

reply

^this.

just watched it, and it's fearmongering nonsense produced by people who have neither tried or researched the drug in any way.

just another Reefer Madness film.

now, beside the REDICULOUS premise of the movie, it's actually fairly well acted -- it's just that no-one had a decent script to work with -- no amount of acting can save the cheesy dialogue and gaping plot holes.

I agree with the sentiment of this thread. Laughable storyline, did seem a bit realistic at the start but ended up being a joke.

Not worth spending money to see ultimately.

reply

Gonna have to agree with these sentiments. I've tried most of what's out there and this is not what ecstasy does to you, it's what bad parenting does. If you're messed up before trying the drug, of course you're gonna be messed up afterwards.

Makes me angry watching it...don't even want to continue.

Argh.

No offense, but if it isn't ecstasy they're taking - then why call the film ecstasy and feature little round pills on the poster art that, erm... um... look like ecstasy?

Terrible, terrible, film - Scaremongering at its worst. Ecstasy is neither addictive or dangerous.

reply

Whether it was terrible or not, are u serious?? This is the reason that they make these films...FOR STUPID PEOPLE LIKE YOU! I have yet to see this movie but probably will steer clear due to everyone agreeing that it sucks. And mogweezer, you are honestly the most ignorant person out there to post something such as ecstasy isnt dangerous or addicting. You are most likely one of those e-tards that lay on the dance floors at partys and melt away with your vicks and massagers. Me and my friends see hundreds of your type at events all the time, taking 15 pills thinking its safe, and then getting taken away on stretchers because your body cant handle the overload of whatever mixture of pipes and mdma you have ingested. Go home and roll by yourself because you make the scene look bad. You are an idiot. I logged on here just to comment on your post because you are not well informed with what you put in your body, and it stands out like a red flag. Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (or you probably know it as thizzzzzzz) does alot more damage than you think. Research your *beep* before you post stuff like this.

But for everyone that watched this and didnt like it, I dont want to be the one to say I told you so haha. It looked ridiculous, but ill admit, I did have a little interest from the trailer. If you want a good movie around the party scene or about ecstasy try films such as Groove, Rolling, A Midsummers Nights Rave, Go, or One Perfect Day...But avoid Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave at all costs :)

Taking 15 Tylenols probably wouldn't make you feel that great, either.

reply

Exactly!!!

I haven't seen the movie, not sure I want to either but you're clearly not very well informed about Methylene-dioxy-methamphetamine, MDMA, E.

A little cut and paste from a drug rehabilitation website

Whether or not MDMA is addictive is somewhat controversial. Some scientists have found that MDMA meets at least half the criteria of a dependence-inducing drug; however, other researchers argue that it is less addictive than alcohol and tobacco. It is generally acknowledged that some users of MDMA display characteristics of dependence. Further, addiction is more likely in those individuals who use larger doses of the drug for longer periods of time. The long-term adverse effects of MDMA are also heavily debated, although there is some evidence that consistent use of MDMA may induce ‘hallucinogen persisting perception disorder’. Tolerance of MDMA, where users need to take increasingly large doses to induce the same effect is, however, well-established.

Any reference site will get you this information, it's common knowledge. Wikipedia says the same, only in a lot more depth with links to citations to back it up.

So sure it isn't crack, but it isn't a harmless drug either.

reply

They weren't using ecstasy.

reply

Nope, it was a fictional drug that they never fully identified. Though the scene where one of the girls was googling the drug she came up with something called "Red Playboy" which according to Urban Dictionary is a kind of E. Can't really rely on that though, haha.
