Ridiculous Relationship

I've been watching "The Glades" on Amazon and was just wondering if anyone else found the relationship woes between Jim and Callie ridiculous? They sleep together, then Ray comes back, but Jim's still interested and clearly jealous. Then his old partner (who treated him like crap, not telling him she was engaged) comes back, and this is where it gets just silly. Jim keeps telling Callie that's he's not interested in Sam, then turns around and keeps telling Sam that there's nothing between him and Callie because she's still married. This goes on for a few episodes, with Jim acting increasingly cold toward Callie while hanging out with Sam all the time, but still telling Callie that he's not interested in Sam. Then suddenly Sam heads back to Chicago and in the very next episode, Jim's back to trying to get Callie to hang out again, buying her pizza, asking her to look at his snakebite, etc. Are we honestly supposed to believe that a strong, intelligent woman like Callie would put up with this? He basically blew her off when there was another woman around and now that he's alone again, he expects to pick up where they left off. It's pretty bad writing, which is a shame, because the show was pretty good. If the writers needed a way to keep the characters apart for a while to prolong the suspense of the romance, they could have come up with something that didn't make Jim look like such an a-hole and Callie such a wimp.

It was, well complicated.

Had they slept together before Ray got out of jail?

All tv relationships have these problems but yeah I thought the show took it a little too far. Personally I thought season 3 was tedious in terms of Callie being in Atlanta and Jim spending so much time with Jennifer.

I always thought Callie was melodramatic and had to create issues out of everything.
Jim could have been more understanding about the US Marshalls not allowing Callie to see Ray, but then why did Callie give Ray three months of false hope when he got out of prison?
Jim should have cut Sam off as soon as she arrived and when Callie accused him of sleeping with her say "Enogh is enough." Then the showrunners could have brought in another love interest.
Maybe a Kia dealership owner. ;-)
