My best friend watches this show on Netflix. She's nearly 22. I feel like that is totally older than this show's average viewing audience, but she insists that the show is just really good. Is she insane or am I insane for not watching it as well?
shareWell, you never know until you give it a try. It is a kid show at its core, but all of the characters seem older than the target demographic and the show actually deals with a lot of mature subjects: body image, loss of loved ones, peer pressure and many more. Sometimes the stories work very well, and sometimes they miss the mark.
But I think it's definitely a fun watch if you have spare time. The first and second series are great. The third is rushed and meanders a bit, but it ends with a planned finale.
I'm 66 & loved the show.
