Prediction for 2017 episode " Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow."

An episode done in flash backs. Everyone is married with children including Jane and Moira.

Hopefully married to each other!

that's never gonna happen, so it's all just wishful thinking...

I'd rather see Maura marry Kent than watching her hook up with Jane just for the sake of pleasing the shippers.

reply

I NEVER got any vibes that Maura/Jane were INTO each other romantically, they always had this strong friendship almost like being sisters to each other. I think a lot of people were hoping it would happen but I'm glad it didn't and its not b/c I'm homophobic - believe me I'm far from that if you knew my friends and family they would all agree I am so not a hateful homophobic when it comes to same sex coupling. I just didn't see it or feel it especially for Rizzoli & Isles television show.

I'm not familiar w/the books so I don't know much to say about it, I will leave that to the ones who have read the books. Maybe one day soon I will hit the library and check them out.

reply

The books are completely different than the show. It's like oil and water. They barely stand each other in the book.
And I'm sorry, but the two of them do deserve to be a couple.
It's quite literally the only valid way to end the show, anything else would be an insult.

You don't run a show for 7 years and troll your fans at the very end.

As for you not seeing the signs, well, that's really hard to believe. Take early this season, Maura goes up and sings, and Jane looks at her longingly. No one looks at their best friend like that. No one. That's the point even my mom who I got into watching the show for the first time, not knowing anything about this show, realized that's why I said they're a couple.

Let's see, there's the constant touching in the earlier days, that's not something friends usually do. Jane smacked Maura on the ass once, and that's not exactly something guys would do outside of football. :) I would imagine women would be the same way.

I think there's plenty of signs for them being a couple, compared to not being a couple.
Then again, we're not sure exactly what's going to happen in the future.

But I can't fathom a way this ends without them being a couple, especially with how closer Jane has been this season towards showing her feelings in a way almost completely open about Maura.

There's a website called AfterEllen that does a recap of each episode and points out the lesbian subtext in each one. It is a gay site dedicated to lesbians on TV, so it might be biased, but there are several things pointed out that make you raise an eyebrow. There's no denying that stuff is in there to bait the LGBT crowd.

reply

I don't know if baiting is the right word. That's not usually used in a positive way. :)
Regardless, at the end of the day, it's a good TV show.
I just have a certain view on it, others may vary.

Still others want to burn alive those who want them to get together. :)

I am a casual fan of the show, and hetero, and there are many times that it is clearly hinting that the girls are at a minimum bisexual with each other.

Some of their scenes sharing an apartment or hotel room end in the traditional way that old movies would imply sex was about to happen.

Even if they married men, I would have expected some reveal at the end where they mentioned their past romance as a positive phase of their lives.

reply

How can you question their relationship? They definitely are soul mates. The thought of Maura ending up with Kent makes me ill. Jane and Maura forever together.

reply

They never sold us on it and I'm not seeing it.

I would have wanted a glance at Mauras from Jane or vice versa,
but besides feeling warm and fuzzy, there was nothing shown.

Yes, they "baited" the wishful thinking of some viewers, but
not to the extend that they even gave a shred of character in
this regard. Lots of different people are true friends forever,
but that doesn't include romantic feelings.

I also think it would ruin the series. I want Jane being an
instructor and Maura becoming a traveling writer. And then
they meet occasionally and enjoy each others company.

reply

Um, they have shared glances at each other since the beginning of the series.
The biggest was this season alone when Maura was up there singing, and Jane gazed at her lovingly and longingly.
That is an impossible to miss sign. Also, no friend gazes at their other friend like that. Ever.

It's insulting to think it would ruin the show.
How would her and Maura getting together somehow be a bad thing, let alone interfere with Jane being the instructor?

Maura doesn't need to become a world-traveling writer.
But sorry, so much evidence supports Jane and Maura being perfect for each other, I'm pretty sure blind people could see it if you showed them this show.

Who cares anymore there never going to be together. The shows a complete mess. Jane slept with her boss, work partner whatever and she hasn't even started working there yet. Degrading for women in the workforce. Talk about easy and sleeping yr way to top. I actually feel embarrassed for the way this has ended the last couple of years. Fan for 4 years dragged out the last 3

reply

I don't think he's her boss.
Regardless, she wouldn't have done that if she wasn't certain it wasn't going to be an issue later.

As for degrading, I think the jury's still out on that one. Especially since she wasn't sleeping her way to the top there.

If Maura and Jane don't get together, I'll build a time machine, and go back in time and change it, and I'll also make sure Jane never sleeps with that guy!
So, really, if all goes well, you'll never have to worry about that happening.

Also, I need $300 million.
