Weird lack of resolution on Ray Liotta's character.

SPOILERS

Anyone else think it was strange that Ray Liotta's mob fixer character was allowed to get away free and clear? I guess since he never did anything that terribly bad and was pretty cool, the filmmakers just decided to let him walk away with the mild implication that the cops are after him.

But still, most other movies would have shown him getting shot or at least arrested at the end.

Not really a complaint, just curious what others thought.

I guess the who police force was so dirty, that one person getting away didn't matter. But Ray's character didn't really get away since his name is on that hard drive along with the rest of the police force. I guess they will just pick him up later.

Did you forget the part, where he executes the FBI informant in the hospital?

Yes. I thought with type of movie at the end Ray's character would have been arrested or killed,or seemed to get away with kidnapping and murder.

It doesn't really strike me that way...

I don't feel that it was particularly necessary for him to have been caught or whatever. He was just a very high level enforcer, and as you say, a very slick one at that. So, it stands to reason that guys like that (as well as Yuri himself) never get caught...

I have over 5000 films, many of them very rare and OOP. I LOVE to trade. PLEASE ASK!
