Hello guys
I just finished watching Pawn and although I think I was paying enough attention, I was really confused with the ending.
What was the significance of knowing the rat?
What was the role of Forest Whitaker's character in the robbery? Was he supposed to enter the diner before the British thugs and help them get the drive?
What was Yuri's plan? Did he and Charlie know that the thugs will come that night?

My understanding is Csokos' Plan (the dirty Cop)
-- Chiklis Robs the safe
-- Whitaker arrives and claims the Drive; either under the table or in the guise of 'evidence' after arresting him
-- Csokas claims the drive from Whitaker
-- Feds raid the Diner find 'squat'
-- Csokas returns/Ransoms drive to Lang or 'Yuri'
Yuri/Charlie had the plan of
-- Tip off the Feds
-- Hide the drive themselves (or plant a dummy drive)
-- Feds find Nothing
-- they claim harassment for any future searches
everything goes to crap because
-- Yuri & Charlie Turned the Informant
-- no one knows they turned him
so you've got everyone still thinking the tip was legit and everyone but Liotta and the good guys are dead...
