Why is the rating so low already?

Only 7 people voted, but what's with the hate? Is it really that bad?

Obviously I haven't seen it yet, idiot, or else I wouldn't have asked. It's rare that a movie has such a low rating before it's even released.

reply

Or seen.

Just to clarify to those who dont know the movie production business (as yourself)... movies are seen by MANY people before they're released. Movies (and documentaries) will be released to test audiences repeatedly, where they take feedback, tweak things/omit/re-shoot scenes, re-release to another test audience etc.

Pre-release screenings are a big part of the business, and it wouldn't be uncommon for thousands of people to have seen a movie before it comes out in cinema.

I don't see why you have to throw the American jab in there. It has nothing to do with the rest of the discussion. Smart enough for you?

Look at the vote breakdown: mean=6, US=6.6
considering it's a US indy film, we can ignore non-US votes.

reply

You can. It wouldn't make any sense at all though. But if that makes you feel better, sure.

I'm the grim reaper, lardass, and you're my next customer.

Among U.S. voters, the rating is 7.2 on Sunday afternoon. They non-U.S. voters bring the rating down. The movie has not been released outside of the U.S., so international voters are apparently rating the movie without having seen it.
