Skip all the dull set up and go straight for the showdown

Gets good at the point when Arnie tells the team he's not going to stand aside and let that Cortez guy come though his town - a bit of a Rio Bravo moment, then an A-Team moment, before a long action packed Western/Car Chase/MMA showdown with some pretty original elements.

Bad script, a lot of money totally wasted, but the second half offers maybe an hour of decent entertainment.

Surely even fans of the film will agree to an extent with what I'm saying?

If to stand pat means to resist evil then, yes, neighbour, we wish to stand pat.

Beginning was absolutely fine. Action was fine except for the corn and after. Non-action middle was total garbage.

What ruins this movie is corn chase sequence and bridge fight. If that part was better, all the sins could be forgiven.

That final fight on the bridge is a fun one to watch. Power vs. Skill. When Arnie takes off his belt and lets his gut hang out--that's when we, the audience, know that it's "go time"; that the old bear has come out of hibernation and is about to maul somebody. Classic action sequence.

Fantastic imagery, Match'! I will have to revisit the scene with that in mind.

Movie reminds me of Piranha 3D in that the whole movie feels like a long set up to a really awesome last half hour.
