Wow, does this movie look horrible. I loved the original "Pure Country" for what it was, but this looks terrible. There was absolutely no reason at all to make this film, being that there is no connection at ALL to the original (no, George Strait isn't playing the same role). It looks like a made-for-tv movie and will be a complete flop.

Who is Katrina Elam????

It may be a hokey and cheesy Hallmark movie of the week but at least it gives people an alternative to the horror, violent, dramatic movies out there.

It is a nice family movie. We need more of them. Perhaps not this contrived though.

Katrina Elam is a country music singer that started her music album debut in 2004. She was supposed to release a 2nd cd called Turn Me Up (I think that was the name), but the cd never got a release date and was never released. I think the reason for this was because her self-titled debut cd did not sell well.

She's the one who sang "No end in sight"

The CD didn't get released because of her label. She released the song "Love Is" back in 2006. She was trying to release it around the time Carrie Underwood hit it big. There was at least one song that I know of that was given to Carrie to release instead of Katrina. It was "Flat on the Floor" that was on Carrie's 'Carnival Ride' album. That song was on Katrina's Myspace page before Carrie's CD. Since all this happened, Katrina has just been writing a lot. She wrote "Change" for Carrie's latest CD. This movie has only been released in select theaters. They probably knew from the start that it wasn't going to do well with a full release because not many people know about it.
