isn't it illegal to lie about medical advice?

If the anti-abortion organization is telling women that their due dates are later then they actually are, so too much time will pass and they cannot get an abortion, isn't this giving a client false medical advice? and wouldn't that be illegal? I don't know much about it, but i'm pretty sure a doctor can't just lie to you about your health because they don't agree with the choice you might make after you get that information. Does anyone know how they could get away with it?

reply

I doubt if they're actually doctors and nurses. Looks like it's some "outreach" group from the Catholic church. But, I could be wrong.

reply

I don't think they are all doctors, but there was that one woman who gave ultra sounds and i was under the impression that you need to be a qualified doctor, or at least a nurse to give an ultrasound. But, like you, i could be wrong as well. I just hope they don't have doctors and nurses lying to people, and if they are, i hope this exposes them and they get shut down!

reply

I was wondering the same thing then I found this site: www.12thanddelaware.org and it says that the women performing the ultrasounds are registered nurses. The girls are asked to sign a consent form that says that the ultrasound is just a diagnostic to check that the baby is in the correct spot and to check for a heartbeat. It also states that the women need to see a doctor in order to be given their correct due date and that the due date given is just an estimate.

In the eyes of the medical world only a licensed physician can determine the accuracy of a due date. A well trained nurse can give a due date which can be accurate but regardless this is not taken to be the patients due date, a doctor( usually an OB-GYN or Radiologist) must first review the information generated from the ultrasound. Generally after the nurse or ultrasound technician has performed the ultrasound the information gathered from the test is then given to the doctor for review. Then and only then will the doctor decide if that due date is accurate or if another due date is to be assigned. Seeing as you were confused to what I meant erotic Karma regarding an estimated due date, it is apparent you have no medical background or insight.
Cheers!

I never said I knew everything, because if I did I would have my medical license. What I posted in my previous post is common knowledge to anyone who knows about medicine. I deleted that post because I decided to post something that explained more clearly to someone as incompetent as you what I meant by estimated due date.

By the way You talk about the abortion clinic having such certified personnel yet have you seen how many health code violations they have? Its ridiculous. Do you know how many disease can be passed on from not using properly sterilized medical equipment? That is not acceptable especially if you are claiming to be a clinic. According to who the ultrasounds are wrong? Candace an ex con with a high school diploma? The pregnancy care center sends all ultrasound information to a radiologist (you know someone who actually is a licensed physician). Thats why I stress the importance of going to that website because there they explain everything that I have so politely explained to you ma'am. If you would take the time to educate yourself by visiting this site then maybe there wouldn't be so many contradictions to your statements.
Im stupid? When you can have a competent conversation with me on quantum mechanics or relativity physics two topics of which you can not readily find sufficient theoretical knowledge of on the internet and of which you have to actually have a textual understanding of in order to hold a conversation. Then and only then will I take into account anything that you have to say and we can talk about my so called "Stupidity".
The pregnancy care center doesn't have a doctor because the pregnancy care center runs on donations and is a non medical facility, they don't charge these women anything; having a doctor requires a significant amount of funds of which the pregnancy care center does not possess and as I have already stated to you is a non medical facility. As stated on the website which I have posted several times and you for some reason so vehemently oppose to, it is stated that these women who "work" at the pregnancy care center are volunteers.

P.s.
I've been on IMDB for two years I don't where your getting your information from. As for being sent over by whom? Im just an open minded person who instead of just sitting through a film and believing all information presented to be true like a dummy, I actually go out and try to see what truth there is to what is being presented. Also why are you so opposed to people visiting the website I have posted.

For anyone wishing to read the health code violations of the abortion clinic featured in the documentary follow the link:http://ahcaxnet.fdhc.state.fl.us/dm_web/(S(45wdzaq4rsrkr25525riba55))/doc_display.aspx?objectid=1849040

I've only seen the documentary once, so I don't remember this part so well. If pro-life building is lying, than the truth is not on their side. One thing can be said about the abortion clinic is that they tell it like it is.

I just watched the documentary for the first time and it was well put together. I came on IMDB to see what the forums had to say and came across this thread. I went to the website (www.12thanddelaware.org) and tried to click on the link to view the violations, it doesn't work. So I looked them up, anyone can search for "A Woman's world health center" on the Florida Health and Safety website.

It's funny that you would state, "have you seen how many health code violations they have?" implying that the violations are very serious. Having actually looked over the 4 violations they have, they are all related to employee training and state reporting requirements. Specifically, failing to report to the state the number of terminated pregnancies within the prescribed time frame. That encompasses 3 of the 4 violations. The last violation is a failure to create/update an employee training program/manual for HIPAA purposes.

So, you know, for all those people who believe all information presented to be true like a dummy.

reply

Yes it is illegal and I hope they burn in Hell for that!

reply

Hmmmmm, so it's ok for "Christians" to violate their 10 commandments? Lol, fail, they are all going to their hell. This is why everyone hates rightwingers, they're hypocritical crazy morons. Now I'm no Christian, but I'm pretty sure it's against Gods word to lie...anyone here who has read a bible care to tell me if I'm right or wrong?
