What the *beep* is wrong with you all....?

I'm going to refrain from going too in depth here, but you all must either be mentally stunted or 11 years old. Because I honestly don't understand how Nathan- a guy who's jokes almost always revolved around crap and dick punch lines- could in any way be considered a superior character than Rudy...?
He was obnoxious, callous and completely 1 dimensional. I'll admit that Rudy can obviously be quite obnoxious as well, but at least the writer's wrote him as witty and gave him an IQ that exceeded minus 5.
I don't mean to be a complete *beep* here, but the way you all seem to *beep* on the show for switching up the cast I'd completely baffling to me. There isn't too much more they could have done with the same characters, over and over again. It was a huge risk for the show to even continue after all of the original cast left, but I prefer them taking that risk as opposed to ending after 2 seasons. Also, do prefer the later seasons to the original two. Big time. The only aspect of season 1 and 2 that intrigued me was the story line between future Simon and Alisha. The rest was stale, and Nathan and Kelly both got *really, really* old, *really, really* fast. I understand that it's all subjective and that this is just my opinion. Fine. But I can't for the life of me comprehend how so many of you can be so confined to your little comfort bubbles that you actually stopped watching the series after the last original character died off.
I can't stand people as predictable and transparent as you lot. Go watch Family Guy or something equally as eradicated of substance/ surprise.

I also feel that it is relevant to mention how pathetic you all are for blaming the show for it's change in course. The actor who played Nathan made the decision to leave and there was no stopping him. So if you honestly think the show "sucked" following his departure, blame the actor. As aforementioned, I for one appreciate that the writers and directors didn't choose to shut down the entire series because of his little tantrum/ *beep* attitude. They had to make a choice and they chose to work around his absence. In other words, shut up already.

as soon as nathan went the show lost its mojo

'it never occurred to me that skin could determine identity'

You just repeated the same stale statement that my entire post was an argument against. Thanks for the insightful rebuttal.

Faaaaaaaart.

I found Nathan funny and missed him at first but Rudy was an excellent replacement character that had more depth. I think people just don't like change, they resist it. They were both characters you love and hate at times.

In all honesty, I adored Nathan specifically because he was shallow, juvenile, and without many redeeming qualities. He was so irreverent and that lack of a filter was fascinating. I honestly thought no one could replace him.

Then came Rudy and my heart was stolen. I never missed him at all once Joe Gilgun arrived. He's a phenomenal actor, and the character was nuanced in a way that (unfortunately) wasn't replicated with any of the other replacement actors. If the show had put as much heart and soul into the other characters as they did Rudy, they probably could have run another decade.

I can't detract from Robert Sheehan's work, because I thought he portrayed Nathan exactly as he was meant to be, and I think he did it brilliantly. I just adored Rudy more.

It's the kind of show you watch because they are horrible people doing horrible things. I mean, half the things they do are nonsensical, if anything they are a display of what not to do as a human being.

As a character, Rudy was far better. But this kind of entertainment-wise, every moment with Nathan was an instance classic. He was the best kind of dreadful.
