It is basically Netflix (a competitor, actually).
Not as big of a library, but they seem to focus on TV shows, past and present. One thing I really like about it is that for the shows they carry, they have new episode the day after they air. If you are looking to "cut the cord", they are a must.
I have their tier-2 option (no commercials) and I think I pay $12 a month.
That's what I have, too. They have a lot of good things on it, but I understand that's subjective.
