the legality of suicide

Just watched the first episode, and I have to agree with alot of the negative reviews, this is some of the worst 'scripted' tv I have seen in a long time (still better than reality tv).

Now here is my main problem with the premise of the show.

That cop is investigating her and hastling her and he says 'suicide is a crime.' and the leader of the support group tells them if they don't try hard they'll get 'kicked back into the system.' Now I'm not an American but I have done some googling, Suicide hasn't been illegal ANYWHERE in the US since the 90s and what kind of police force sends a detective to investigate a girl trying to OD anyway?

And another thing. The whole argument and then rapey sex in the alley was just wrong on so many levels!

This show made no sense at all. Will not be watching episode 2 :(

It isn't rape unless she resists or says no.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

I'll agree about the sex scene. That was so weird and short. He had to have had himself ready to go and out of his pants for that kind of move.

reply

He hadn't had sex since his wife was still alive. He busted early.

reply

i guess, and since it had been so long he probably also has a non stop erection as well as the ability to exit his pants without using his hands and the strength to penetrate her underwear.

reply

He had a rock hard the whole time, and his fly was undone. And there was the power of editing.

reply

Ah yes the power of editing, helping people have sex with underwear on since 1962

reply

Well and it's a TV show and not real.
