Horrible after five minutes

The first five minutes of the first episode of this show are horrible. I was just cringing in annoyance at the failed attempts at humor and edginess. I'll give it another five minutes then I'm done.

And by some stroke of luck the cake lady's neighbors found her before she od'ed on codeine? What - did they just walk into her apartment because they were concerned that she might be sleeping after work but by some stroke of luck they found that she actually od'ed?

What is the target age demographic of this show because I'm assuming it's pretty young...

And 13 minutes into it there's a rape scene that is supposed to be some kind of consensual sex scene but would be a felony sex assault in any reality other than the creators' of this show ...

Also, contrary to what the tv detective says, suicide isn't a crime in most US and State Codes...

Nice monologue there... you were able to reply 3 posts to yourself.

But you are right, this show is NONSENSE/GARBAGE, just let it rot...

reply

Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks this show is worse then garbage.

Also, how the hell did they sucker Ving Rhames into doing this trash?

Well, it appears that TCAMUSJR has never heard of subtext. Perhaps if you'd concentrated on the show rather than giving your minute by minute moan-fest you'd have picked up all the things you missed.

"And by some stroke of luck the cake lady's neighbors found her before she od'ed on codeine? What - did they just walk into her apartment because they were concerned that she might be sleeping after work but by some stroke of luck they found that she actually od'ed? "

We only have the creepy policeman's word that it was her neighbours. Considering his unhealthy interest in her, how do we know he hasn't been watching her for a while? This would certainly explain how he knows what was written on her underwear when she attempted suicide.

"And 13 minutes into it there's a rape scene that is supposed to be some kind of consensual sex scene but would be a felony sex assault in any reality other than the creators' of this show"

Why you consider it a rape is between you and your therapist, most peopple would see the scene for what it was. Don't impose your baggage onto the work of others.

"Also, contrary to what the tv detective says, suicide isn't a crime in most US and State Codes..."

Yes, and we have already covered that the detective may be a creepy liar with an unhealthy interest in the woman in question. It's called "telling fibs". It appears quite a bit in fiction, perhaps you've not heard of it.

You dislike the show? Nobody cares, but if you're going to knock it for being innacurate, make sure you know what you're on about.

Why are the right wing always so angry? And why do I find their foolish hatred so very, very funny?

"This would certainly explain how he knows what was written on her underwear when she attempted suicide."

The policeman saw the panties when he "searched" her apartment,
"You dislike the show? Nobody cares, but if you're going to knock it for being inaccurate, make sure you know what you're on about."
Please concentrate on the show before you knock another poster, I also found the show uninteresting and won't be watching it again, so please feel free to knock me, I won't be on this board again.

You're wrong

It has great concepts, OK writing.

The acting, production and editing are worse than terrible though. That's the problem. Looks like amatuer film students put this together. blech.

I just started watching. Incredible

Tried to watch this because the tagline seemed interesting, but couldn't get past the first fifteen minutes and I almost never tune out of a show early. Terrible in every way imaginable.

I can deal with the almost low budget quality of the show... that never bothered me. But I think if they made some tweaks this show could've been really good.

- get rid of Miller. Whether or not you find him entertaining he just doesn't fit in with the rest of the show... and seeing as each episode is only a half hour he chews up a lot of time. It made no sense that he was pretty much hanging out in a precinct and no one noticed that he wasn't a cop - not to mention Diego knows/knew Miller's true identity yet still constantly said he couldn't go after miller because he was a cop

- devise a different way of Lily being found - we only have Miller's word that the neighbors called it in for all we know he could've found her while he was pretty much spying on her

- focus more on the survivors and how they're changing their lives and accomplishing a new normal while still struggling.

- I would've loved to see Carla's progression (trying to overcome her OCD and start a family). Or the development of the relationship between Adam and Shawna, you don't see many relationships between older women and younger men. And I think Jorge's storyline could've been more interesting if they rooted his problems in a gender identity crisis (although that could've gotten really dark and serious rather than dark and comedic)
