Iffy accents?

Just watching "The Guards". Not seen any of these before and not being a native of Ireland (but being of Irish heritage), I have to ask: is the Scottish Iain Glen's Irish accent a little inauthentic?

I like the storyline and the craic between the locals, but Sutton is annoying - I've always found Ralph Brown to be a bad actor and this show just proves it.

The Clancy character is terribly written and extraordinarily badly acted.

Positives: Kate and the homeless drunk fella. And I really liked the mystery - enough to keep my interest to the next one.

A nice ending too, I'd give it a solid 6/10.
