A big hit at the Box Office.

Smile had some really strong weekdays across the world. Some markets will be having 2nd weekend bigger than 1st. Even DOM can have a minuscule 30% drop. $32.3M first week in USA/CAN, possibly $50M by Monday.

All horror movies do well on their opening weekend.

Sorry dude but by all metrics WOM is very, very good. This film is holding up with very little drop off and in some places it's even doing better in it's second week than it's first. That's uncommon and pretty much exclusively due too positive WOM.

$5.4M 2nd FRI in US/CAN. Just -13% last week. Will be comfortably #1 for the weekend with $19M. $100M DOM looks achievable.

UK and Germany have 2nd FRI higher than 1st.

We haven’t seen a first weekend drop of like this for a horror film since Get Out, which dropped off 15% from $33M.

I know you personally didn't care for it but it's doing very good commercially.

maybe they will do the prequel with her, thought the ending would suck, but maybe give it in 15 mins segments across sequels

This was the worst "Horror" Movie I've seen in a very long time! I like to have at least some Horror in my Horror. This wasn't Horror is was Drama and a boring drama at that. Story makes zero sense it has more dream sequence that are silly and stupid. I hate this movie.

Paramount has everything to be happy about heading into the weekend as their horror movie Smile is coming on strong with $3.85M today for what is now looking at a $13.1M second frame at 3,659 theaters, -42% – spectacular for a horror movie considering they typically drop 60% or more in weekend 2. This will put the 10-day gross of the Parker Finn-directed and -written genre title at $45.4M.

In second place as of right now is Sony’s Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile with $3.3M today and an expected $11M opening at 4,350 theaters. This fight between Lyle, Lyle and Smile boils down to Saturday (doesn’t it always?) and how many moms and kids come out for this feature take of the 1965 Bernard Waber book.

Paramount is grinning widely this weekend as its creepy pic, Smile, continues to stay atop the chart in its sophomore outing with a projected gross of $16.8 million from 3,659 theaters. That would be a decline of just 26 percent, one of the best holds of all time for the horror genre.

The Parker Finn R-rated horror film is set to post one of the best holds ever for a horror movie at an amazing -26%, after 2017’s Get Out, which eased -15% with $16.8M. Some rivals think Smile could shine as bright as $18M. This puts the 10-day total at $49M.

It's taking of in Germany!

Smile rises to 1st place with a massive +95.3% increase in it´s 2nd Weekend.

Smile has now sold a total of 388,759 tickets and grossed a total of $3,449,981.
This means that it has already surpassed the Totals of Scream (2022), Nope, Orphan: First Kill and The Black Phone to become the Biggest Horror Film of 2022 (so far) and it´s only in it´s 2nd Weekend!

Smile had the Biggest 2nd Weekend of a Horror Film since the Pandemic started. As a comparision, this Film previously had the 3rd Biggest Opening Weekend of a Horror Film since the Pandemic started. It´s pretty hard to guess what the rest of this Film´s run will look like, since this 2nd Weekend is kinda unprecedented, however i am currently predicting a Total of Ca. 1 million tickets and Ca. $9 million, which would make it the Biggest Horror Film since the Pandemic started, surpassing The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (750,561 tickets and $7,327,710+) and also the Biggest Horror Film and the first one to surpass 1 million tickets sold, since It: Chapter 2.

Earning nearly twice as much in it's second weekend vs the first. Very uncommon.

First rated 18 film to top the charts in the UK & Ireland in three years since Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019).

Horror film Smile became the first 18-rated film to top the weekend UK-Ireland box office for over three years, with a huge 17% increase on its previous session.

The film took £1.7m from Friday-to-Sunday, up from last weekend’s £1.5m start. It is up to £4.75m total after strong midweek performances, and is tracking towards an excellent result for Paramount.

The last 18-rated film to top the UK-Ireland box office was Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood in August 2019.
