well he is quite talented and typically made for tv movies often involve actors that are past their prime. I'm hoping this turns out to be a good movie but I just think there are probably a lot of other projects he could work on that may get a theatrical release. In my mind made for tv movies are one or two steps up from direct to dvd films.

Yup, Barry will star in this.
Also, funny tidbit, it will be the reunion of Barry and the director since they last worked together on Johhny`s Girl (1995). Now, ive never seen that movie (as its impossible to get), anywho, i noticed when i checked if the director had some chops.

This is a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, not just a regular made for tv movie. Alot of top actors have made Hallmark Hall of Fame movies. The Hall of Fame movies have won numerous awards over the years.

Would you say that to Glenn Close or Christopher Walken? You do realize Lonesome Dove was a made-for-TV movie with Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Duvall, Anjelica Huston, Diane Lane, etc.

James Woods and James Garner starred in the companion piece from 1987. They were not on the way down, nor did it send them there. 8-)

This subject matter is near and dear to the hearts of many people, as Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon have saved the lives of millions including many actors. I am sure there are some cases where people would do such a role for nothing.

And...this isn't just "some" movie. It an important tale about the lives of the co-founders of AA and AL-ANON. That may not strike a cord with some, but to others, like myself, it hits home....and I couldn't be more thankful for either programs. I'm sure both Barry and Wiona were very happy to be a part of this film.

I thought he was great! His character had some corny dialogue during the movie but he did great with what he was given. Very talented in my opinion.

first of all, he is an excellent actor, and second of all, he needs to eat and pay his bills, just like the rest of us! When did "acting" in a made for TV movie become too good for any actor? The percentage of actors making the HUGE bucks is so small....so actors do what they do best when they need to make a living. They ACT. Good job Barry, good job Winona. Great movie. I hope they paid you well!
