What was the freaking point?

I demand a point to this movie, is the point to not have a point. It's was a pretty good movie.

Anyone else love the taint song and have a point song?

The point was to find why they got deleted, and they imply they agree they deserved it in a way.

The point is that the First Amendment to the United States Constitution is a most glorious document that is still going strong as it protects the rights of the people from overblown government ne'er-do-wells, frothing with the rabid spittle of political correctness, ( think Senator Joe Leiberman), as we legally go about enjoying our daily viewings of the most extreme lewd and crudeness ever envisioned by pot smoking anarchist artistes. Yah, Captain Hero wanted what in his mouth?? Whatever the artist wants to stuff in it! Put that in your moral majority pipe and smoke it ;) "Pffft, my suspension of disbelief has higher standards than that"

The point is that there is no point, it's just funny and really that's more than enough

Plus it gave the series an opportunity at a real series finale, after the final episode of the show was essentially another clip show. On the commentary the creators even said the movie gave them the chance to end the show how they wanted.

You forget the first rule of remakes: Don't *beep* with the original!

The point was that someone thought they could make some money with this inhuman *beep* stain of a film, and we all gave them our money.

Now we've got to wait for them to hurry the hell up, take a squat and squeeze out another retched abomination (which we shall happily give them our hard earned pennies for).

The difference between a debate and an argument is one is noble and one is idiotic. Chose wisely.

i see it this way: the film was basically a way to give the series a proper burial. they went as extreme, as disgusting and as politically incorrect as possible. to break all conventions and offend even the most hardcore of fans. it was the darkest of all swan songs and it was brilliant. i love dark stuff and at times even the original series was so intentionally repelling, that even i was at times a bit disturbed. the film turned it up to 11. no holds barred.

and that was just the point it made on a meta level. the film itself, just like the series pokes holes in many things and then puts it's finger in the wound.

the focus was not enjoyment, it was about making points. loads of them. a stroke of genius.
