question for people who drink light beer

Was this just product placement run amok? OW is repeatedly shown to enjoy being high or drunk. Would someone drink LIGHT BEER when they seem to be drinking mainly to get drunk? I would guess there is an almost-linear relationship between the alcohol in a beer & the calories. So, if you need to drink X amount of beer to feel drunk, you'd just have to drink more light beer & end up with roughly the same calories anyway.

I drink GOOD beer for the taste, not the alcohol. I've probably had 4 light beers in my life, so I really don't know. It seemed dumb though. Either that or nefarious, like Bud is trying to get drunks to drink Bud Light.

Have you never been to a bar? A lot of people drink light beer to get drunk. Not everyone drinks for the taste- water that gets you drunk is good enough for most.

The film is full of product placements, including lots of meat and dairy industry propaganda. It just means that they were paid to put that kind of beer in the film. Advertisers these days have enormous influence over the creative content that appears in American shows and movies, it's far beyond mere product placements.

I was an extra on this film and when they offered a drink (to be filmed) I asked for a Pepsi (preferred) but they "only" had Coke. So yeah product placement.. Lol

If you're also smoking a bunch of weed, light beer does the trick just fine.

Yeah if you are drinking just to get drunk I imagine you want the strongest thing you can get your hands on. If you cant get liquor, then your best best is wine, and if you cant get that, then go for super high % beer. Light beer has less % than like anything, so it seems the absolute worst choice for an alcoholic.

Also you gotta go pee a lot more too, if you are drinking tons and tons of light beer. Screw that!
