sounds neat

I got to this page by looking at Summer Glau's imbd page. This looks like it could be good. I can't wait for trailers!

Can't wait for the trailer? You and me and a couple hundred crazed foam rubber sword wielding lunatics who got the chance to spend a few weeks playing in the woods with a great crew of folks. Granted, it was really hot, really cold, really dusty, full of bugs, and there was a lot of blood.... but then you'd hear "cut" and there were some of the crew with water for those folks roasting in armor, and Steve Zahn with a smile and a HUGE box of cherries.... I think everybody would love to go back. Check out the web page (knightsofbadassdom.com) for news, and "like" or "follow" on facebook and twitter, so you will know when anything is available.

Kevin, do you remember when the filming actually took place?

reply

Filming on location in Spokane was July/August of 2010. Best vacation from my regular job I ever took. Now just to see if they use the cut up version from the IndieVest guy, or the original cut from Joe Lynch. Keeping my fingers crossed for the real director's cut.

Awesome, thank you! I'm doing a write-up for my entertainment news site, and I couldn't find that information anywhere. Thank goodness for the internet.

You could also go back to old information from Joe Lynch's blog for timing. No real spoilers there, but still interesting stuff. http://drjoemommalynch.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

I hope the portrayel of larp is better than it was in Role Models. Although as a UK larper I found Role Models a funny film, I could not recognise what was on screen as LARP as I know it in the UK. I have no experience with american larp, other than rumours and stories of non-contact larp (rock paper scissors to determine outcome of fights). I am looking forward to this movie though, maybe it will give a better insight into larpers as well as being a good film.
