Coming out on dvd soon? ( Canada)

Saw the trailer for this like 2 years ago, how come i never heard of it since then? I mean up here we still get the crappiest of the crappiest of what Hollywood has to offer so i am a bit baffled by the fact i never saw it on the shelves of our rental store or big stores like walmart/costco and such?
