manipulated ratings. careful, this movie is very bad

you can easily see that the ratings for this "movie" have been manipulated to make more people watch it.
I wonder where those Females Aged 18-29; 1941 Votes,9.6 average rating might be coming from otherwise.

reply

i see you rated it 5, which actually is what this movie deserves at best. i rated 4 btw.

just 3 days ago the rating was staggering 8.8 with 2500+ votes and now with 3500+ votes the rating has dropped to 7.1. It'll be keep dropping as more and more people will watch it.

reply

I like a lot of the actors but the low-budget and pacing pretty much made this movie almost unwatchable. Holy craaappp this was awful. I don't give many low ratings...but I'm probably going to give it a 3 just because of the acting.

And yes, the Supernatural episode was FAR better than this because they actually have a talented crew. Actors can't always save drek.

WRONG! This movie is 100 times better then supernatural!

I enjoyed it. This movie was made for a very limited niche audience, and if you are part of that niche, chances are you had a good time watching it.

reply

No. The film is literally unwatchable

reply

Na was watchable for me, literally.

reply

Apparently you don't know what literally means, because I just "literally" watched this film. And I *gasp* actually enjoyed it.

reply

Completely disagree with you on that. I watched it and I enjoyed it. So did my wife. Like the guy said it's for a very specific niche and if you don't dig it then that's fine. Nothing wrong with that.

I just watched it so you are literally wrong.

reply

YES see everyone read this!! this user is right... i think it's a great film mainly because i go to cons and know these people for real..

reply

Glad you enjoyed it...I disagree STRONGLY, it's very very bad.

reply

I have no idea what this niche audience is.
I love Summer Glau and Peter Dinklage, I am geeky and nerdy as hell, I am into roleplay and quite familiar with LARP culture and everything.

Heck, I play paintball too.

And this movie was terrible from beginning to end. Maybe the niche is this small intersection between larpers and stoners who enjoy terrible movies?

Exactly. I got and appreciated all the metal references (Hallow's Eve "Monuments" poster out of focus on the back wall? Check.). I used to RPG from the mid 80's through to about the mid 90's so I knew some people who were almost this geeky. I liked "Evil Dead". I liked almost the whole cast. The film itself was well-shot and lit and edited and so on. Professional.

But just because all this is going on doesn't mean that the script was worth a damn. There was just no story here worth telling.

Horrible movie. Paris Hilton's movies are better.

reply

i thought the movie was great just cause it felt low budget it doesnt mean those films cant be good
it was a horror comedy and really its probley one of the better ones out there

reply

Agree. Shockingly bad.

You have to wonder? Probably True Blood fangirls who voted only for Whats-His-Face's Abs.

how about you all find something you enjoy, that way something other than bullsh*t comes out when your mouth opens :)

this goes for the lot of you on these boards. if you have more negative ratings than positive ones, either 1) make your own damn movie or 2)get a girlfriend or something

reply

Were you in this POS?

Why so butthurt?

This is a terrible movie and thats what we are saying.

reply

Whoa, they are some extremely screwy vote stats. Normally I would call BS on such an anomaly, but maybe, just maybe, 2,000 crazy fanb!tches 18-29(Non-US) really gave this average at best, comedy mismash a 10/10, though I doubt it. Smells of a conspiracy>

I gave it a 4, for the record.

reply

Conspiracy... Because imdb ratings are that important to the people who made the movie. You're good for a laugh, and so is the movie. It's called Knights of Badassdom, expect it to be cheesy and low budget and you will enjoy it. Plus it was legitimately funny, and I don't even smoke pot!

reply

You'd be surprised of the importance of IMDb ratings and how influence can mean major money making. Hell IMDb is owned by Amazon, yep, the very same company that has 10,000's of flicks available for $4 VOD. Ikd, life has anomalies that are so ironic, such unbelievable coincidences that nobody would believe them, but then there they are as undisputable facts.

Comedy is one of those things, when you're watching something and someone is cracking up and you're lookin at them wondering if it's a stroke or seizure because the film was just not that funny to you. I've started laughing at stuff and have it relate to something weird in my head and just continue laughing like a nut well past the social norm. It's a bit mysterious, just like when big budget comedies bomb at the theaters, but obviously there were some people that thought it was genius gut splitting non-stop hilarity.

And I agree stoner comedies can be very enjoyable sober, I used to smoke heavy for years starting in my teens but haven't in like 13 years, but they're still great ex. Pineapple Express, any Cheech and Chong, one I watched last night,
Gingerdead Man Vs. Evil Bong(2013) I think all the "Evil bong/Gingerdead Man" films are great but I'm sure I'm well into the minority. I've enjoyed all of the Evil Bong flicks, some more than others.(It's a guilty pleasure without a doubt). End book, it's the caffeine.

I think a lot of people are just finding out about the movie, so early on it was probably mostly big fans of Summer Glau and some friends of friends of the extras in the movie ranking it.

I found out about it a couple of months ago and just got around to watching it tonight. Friends of mine loved it. I thought it was okay, but didn't like it as well as they did. Glau kind of saved it for me, actually. Without her I might have been a little pissed I paid $3.99 to see it.

I watched it with no preconceptions and loved it.

reply

It takes a lot to get me to laugh nowadays, I think I've seen too many movies. I laughed out loud once in this movie. I can't even recall the scene at this point. Even though I didn't laugh often, I was still entertained, and that, to me, is all that matters. Silly and stupid, sometimes you need them. Lastly, I don't really know anyone who admits to larping, though I have some suspicions...

reply

I generally don't watch too many comedies, and I don't laugh often watching a movie, but there are some scenes in non-comedy movies that have had me crying from laughing so hard, the latest one being The Wolf of Wall Street, when DiCaprio's pills kick in...that had me in tears.
