I actually liked it. :)

I can see how others don't like this movie, but I knew it was going to be silly and absurd, and that's what I got. Plus, Peter Dinklage and Jimmi Simpson are two of my favs, so they make any scene better just by being in it. I plan on watching it again.

Btw- does anyone know what the other cut was supposed to be like? I have no idea what they would've added or done differently.

There was supposedly 5 to 10 minutes cut from the original edit. You can tell where one part was heavily edited. Its when Joe and Gwen are supposed to go back to the parking lot for something. At that point, its like 3 in the afternoon. Next scene, its dark out, and they are walking back through the forest. So there was an entire scene or two meant to transition that was cut.

Gotcha. That makes sense. Thank you.

He was supposed to wake up from his Sativa trip, with the vision he got from said trip , it was to cure him of his stuff. and be a better person.

I had to google Jimmi Simpson.

Anyway, this movie blew. No one has a problem with it being "silly and absurd", they have a problem with it being unfunny and poorly made.

You worked on this movie, didn't you? :D

reply

I enjoyed the movie, and I did not work on it. I did, however, happen to see it in a theatre packed with the target audience, and everyone in the theatre had a great time. There was, in fact, applause and cheering when the credits rolled.

this movie was awesome! I didn't work on it.. but i think it's great because I go to cons and know these "people"... as for unfunny and poorly made those are your opinions... and I know every one has them... but no one cares bout yours!! this movie is cleaver funny and well made..

p.s i hate your face

I enjoyed it too. It wasn't as good as I was hoping it was going to be, but it was a decent horror comedy. Jimmi Simpson is also one of my favorites and he was great in every scene he was in. I'd watch it again, but it is obvious there are scenes missing, and there are very odd cuts at times. Hopefully there will be a director's cut in the future.

I've never seen that. I've never seen anybody drive their garbage down to the street and bang the hell out of it with a stick. I-I've never seen that.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I love the quote from The 'burbs! Nice touch.

I also didn't work on this film, though I wish I had. I've worked on other projects, and this one seemed right up my alley. I agree there were odd cuts at times, and I knew we wouldn't be getting the original version, but I'm just nerdy enough to have enjoyed it anyway. I used to work Fright Fest at Six Flags for many years, so this felt at times a bit like that to me. I also have friends who LARP, so this was just a combo of the two for me. Again, I can see how other people were less impressed, but I personally thought it was awesome.

Yeah, I liked it. Good job on The 'burbs quote! Hardly anyone ever gets it.

Jimmy Simpson stole the movie for me, he was the only one that was worth watching. Most of the laughs come from him. Very well done job, just wish the other actors had more to work with and it could have been so much better.

I honestly can say that Jimmy Simpson in any and all roles he has been in are smoothly done.

"You guys do look slightly badass. Like a Manowar cover without the muscles."

I enjoyed the movie. I admit that it tapered off at the end, not sure if it is simply that Peter was now out of it and it all fell on the other shoulders, or that they could not tighten the ending to be a bit more "believable".

To tell the truth many movies can start and run good but if the ending fails it kills the whole movie.

For a movie that I think these well known, and liked, A+ supporting actors probably did this for free, and in their spare time, it was pretty good. Does it stand against mainstream big budgeted movies? No. But as a cheesy B movie it was pretty good. It was enjoyable enough that I did not mind spending the time watching. I have spent more time watching big budgeted movies and felt it was wasted more than here. Will I ever watch this again? No. It is a forgettable movie and no reason to. On the other hand I do now have some dumb quotes I can use and will have to reference them back to this movie.

Indeed, I just caught a viewing of it today and balanced with my realistic expectations I found it _really_ enjoyable; really awesome in fact. For the worth of viewing and the joy it gave me and my friend I gave it 8/10; it's one of those movies I will always come back to now and then, to have a jolly good time of silliness and laughter to a really very good soundtrack!

Good flick, I also wish I could view how it was 'supposed' to be, hopefully there was not a lot missing.

I really enjoyed it myself, it reminded me of a time when movies could still be moderately original.
My advice to anyone who didn't like this film is this - YOU WEREN'T SMOKING ENOUGH WEED

Loved this movie; this comment comes from an individual that has to watch several movies every day as the core function of his job.

People trash on it being "unfunny" because it's not very aggressive about its humor. A lot of the humor is contextual, to say the least, which--in my experience--most people lack the depth to appreciate.

It's definitely not for everyone, but for those who enjoy irrelevant, silly humor that derives most of its power from raw, undramatic pop culture context, this movie is totally worth a watch.

I laughed my ass off while watching it.
