Kung Fu Daycare episode

Absolutely best episode of the show! Finally an episode devoted to Tigress and best of all, some development of her character. Great lines from the characters:

Tigress: Master Shifu I respectfully request...No!

Fung: Would it kill you to give like a heads-up?
Gah-Ri: I couldn't think of the words.
Fung: How about...AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

Zan: What's your favorite color? Mine is orange with black stripes!

Po: Not a big fan of the kids?
Tigress: They're a necessary step in the development of adults.
Po: Soooo....no?

Tigress: It's not that I don't like kids.
Shifu: Yes it is.

Po: I know how kids think.
Mantis: 'Cause you've got the mind of a child.
Po: Exactly!

Po: You can't tie Zan up!
Tigress: Why not. I fed him. I watered him. He's dressed appropriately for the weather. He has everything he needs.
Po: No he doesn't. Kids need hugs and stuff.
Tigress: Why?
Po: Because otherwise they grow up cold and unfeeling and...oh ho ho. You didn't get a lot of hugs when you were a kid, did you?

The "silent" kung fu where Fung and his gang fight with Po & Tigress scene was priceless.

And of course Tigress' lines for the "big boss" fight:
"No one hurts *my Zan*!!"
and
"I'm never letting you out of my sight again."

Dreamworks preparing fans for when Tigress eventually becomes a mother. :-)

I know! I LOVED this episode. It was cute, had action and there was plenty of character development. I also liked the new villain Lidong. He was HUGE.

Biologically speaking, Lidong's size would probably make him a Saltwater crocodile instead of Fung's Mugger Crocodile (ironic species name isn't it?).

But Zan was such a cute little duck. Totally looking forward to next season.

I think that episode was a great way to give people the heads up about the second season pretty early.

I don't know why everyone thinks that Tigress would be the motherly type, I personally don't in my own views, but it is cute that she has a liking to children since it was shown before from the holiday special :D

Could not agree more! I LOVED that episode. It was hilarious, adorable, and a great one for Tigress. I can see her becoming a good mom someday...though she still has a little ways to go. But this ep was a huge, precious step in the right direction, man! I knew she had some caring, nurturing, compassionate kinds of emotions in her somewhere. Those quotes are all fantastic. And Zan, wow...he wasn't just kinda-cute-because-he's-a-kid-and-supposed-to-be, but really, truly, seriously absolutely touchingly ADORABLE. 0__0 And like Tigress, I'm not that easily impressed. xD

I wish they'd start doing more episodes like this that focus on and develop other members of the Furious Five. I love them, especially Crane and Viper, but even though a TV series should be a perfect opportunity for them to shine, they're still largely just used as supporting characters without too much complexity. There have been some rather interesting character episodes so far (for Mantis, Monkey, Mr. Ping, Shifu, Tigress, etc.), but it still feels more like "The Po Show" rather than the ensemble one I think it ought to be. Not that I'm honestly complaining, mind you. The show is actually quite excellent, for a contemporary Nicktoon. It's hilarious, well written, and feels unusually authentic and true to the films, which were two of DreamWorks' best.

I like you, Um. I like largeness...

Despite Zan wondering around without any guard No1 else is going to kidnap a prince and demand a massive ransom? I suppose they could've gone with opposite approach and omit the guard as to not draw attention [shrug], this was one of my faves too.

ORANGE for all
